Radboud University is a research university based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The Department of Environmental Science conducts quantitative and qualitative research into climate change, biodiversity and chemical pollution.
The department develops innovative methods for life-cycle assessment (LCA) of energy technologies, and its researchers are involved in several European projects looking at the LCA of CCS, biomass and CCS, and direct air capture. It also conducts policy analysis and evaluation.
Within the Acorn Phase 2 Project, Radboud University will provide key policy input to infrastructure and policy work, and knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement. It is also responsible for the LCA aspect of the low carbon build-out scenario work package.
